Learn Well. Think Well. Live Well.
What is Hybrid Homeschool?
Hybrid homeschooling is a new form of education that combines the best aspects of traditional homeschooling and classroom education. It is a flexible and adaptable approach to education that allows pupils to study in accordance with their individual requirements and learning styles.
Benefits For Children
Learning Well students reap numerous benefits! They learn alongside peers in a small classroom setting in which they are seen, encouraged, and taught subjects at their skill level.
Small classroom sizes afford students greater attention from mentor teachers and more hands-on opportunities to solidify understanding of concepts in both skills-based (Math & Language Arts) and topic-based subjects (History, Science & Bible).
Benefits For
Families
Time! Families have the autonomy and flexibility to manage schedules that work for them. This creates space for additional learning opportunities in the home as well as the freedom to take advantage of other programs that suit each family and student.
Families are able to spend more precious moments together in whatever capacity they see fit. This may include family vacations or even simple moments at home, learning and playing together.
Additionally, parents who choose Learning Well benefit from community. They aren’t taking the homeschool journey alone. They are supported by other families as well as the founders who equip them throughout the year via ongoing communication and monthly equipping classes.

WHO WE ARE
Welcome to Learning Well!
Learning Well was founded by two Christian women who together have 18+ years of homeschool experience. It was their vision to come alongside those desiring to take the step to homeschool and journey with them by equipping them with the necessary tips, tools & resources to make their journey one that is a beautiful experience for their whole family. Additionally, they desire to build a culture of community in which all families of Learning Well inspire, encourage and support each other.
Learning Well believes the purpose of education is the cultivation of virtue and wisdom by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty according to God’s Revelation using the classical liberal arts. Its purpose is to train the soul to love that which is worth loving.
The aim of classical Christian education is high, but not unreasonable. Its primary function is the dissemination of Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom. The Book of Proverbs states, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6). This biblical distinction in learning fits perfectly with the classical model of education. The grammar stage is the gaining of knowledge, the logic stage corresponds with understanding, and the rhetoric stage with wisdom. The classical method of education is indeed the best environment for students because the foundation of classical education is the Word of God. Therefore, any curriculum not founded upon “The Fear of the LORD” cannot lead to or develop biblical wisdom in students, but instead leads to the foolishness of denying God as the true source of all knowledge.
The Learning Well teaching philosophy is classical in nature, utilizing the Trivium which takes into consideration the natural developmental stages of children with regard to learning. In doing so, mentor teachers fully acknowledge and embrace the unique stages of each student to reach them where they are academically yet challenges them to expand their capabilities and understanding.
Mentor teachers do this by modeling curiosity of concepts and ideas, integrating Christ in every subject, demonstrating how to ask good questions and how to reason well, and creating space to make mistakes and course correct to arrive at the truth, goodness and beauty of learning.
To equip, inspire, and empower families to educate their child(ren) in such a way that glorifies God through academics, character, and discipline.
The Learning Well mission is to mentor a generation toward authentic Biblical education rooted in truth, by journeying together.
We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, inerrant Word of God.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God Himself, came to earth in the flesh, was born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He died a substitutionary and atoning death on the cross. He arose bodily from the grave and ascendedinto heaven where He sits at the right hand of God.
We believe man was created in God’s image and being descended from Adam inherited a sinful nature and is totally unable to save himself from the natural consequences of sin.
We believe men and women are saved and justified by faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and by accepting Him as Lord and Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
Foundational Scripture: “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.” Psalm 86:11
We believe that many parents desire to homeschool yet refrain from doing so out of fear, lack of knowledge or understanding to teach well, and do not have the necessary support. Learning Well, IS that support! We take the homeschool journey with our families by providing support, ongoing communication, and tools that equip parents to fearlessly teach their children.. We have curated materials such as a Scope & Sequence for each subject, a Catechisms guide of memory work, and a Student Assignment Planner that outlines weekly assignments and offers accountability for both the parent and student.
A homeschool hybrid is the ideal blend of homeschool and traditional school. Families benefit from the freedom and autonomy of homeschooling, while participating in community by gathering together to receive instruction and guidance from mentor teachers.
Students meet for class 3 times a week in which a mentor teacher introduces concepts, models teaching, and encourages students. The parent is the primary teacher, building upon those concepts at home, while they receive support from the mentor teachers.

TESTIMONIALS
What Our Community is Saying
“I've received a lot of questions about our homeschool journey and there is one thing that i s certain - I'd be LOSTTTT without Learning Well.
From Helping with placement tests, purchasing the right curriculum, identifying ways to strengthen certain skills, pushing kids in the challenging areas, and hold their hearts to the values and morals we share.”
The Bucks
Nicole Buck (parent of two children at learning well)
“The kids go to class Tu-Th 8-12 with other kids, and two mentor teacher who introduce new concepts. It has been great for them to have that community and allows me a pocket of time for working, if I need it. It also makes or learning at home that much easier, because it's not the first time they've heard it, and I wasn't left to my own devices."

Learning Well will provide each family with a comprehensive list of curriculum for the year. We make every attempt to choose a curriculum that reflects our Education Philosophy ensuring it is both Christian & classical. LW will also provide each family with a Scope & Sequence of each subject. At Orientation, families will be given a list of supplies needed for Community Day. Students will often bring their purchased textbooks with them to class. Be sure your student has a backpack to bring all supplies with him/her as we will not be storing an extensive amount of supplies on campus. Learning Well holds to the idea of “stick in the sand” meaning we firmly believe it takes very little to introduce concepts and teach. God has already given us much of what we need to learn.
As part of the Learning Well mission to journey with our families, Parent Equipping Partnership Classes will be provided monthly. These serve to equip all families with tips, tools & resources to assist in a successful and beautiful homeschool journey. It is not mandatory that Parent Teachers attend, but attendance is deemed incredibly important & highly encouraged. At these classes, parents will receive instruction & resources, ask questions & foster community with others while creating a culture of safety and inspiration.
We are blessed to host our classes at Restored Church who graciously affords us a lovely space for our community days. If you are looking for a home church, check out Restored by clicking here:

All families will apply to Learning Well by completing the application. These documents capture the information we desire to collect in order to have an accurate history, an idea of your expectations, and glimpse into your student and family as a whole. Once the student(s) is accepted into the program, the Enrollment documents will be forwarded to complete the enrollment process. Once accepted, the parent and student(s) will be invited to attend the Orientation prior to the start of the school year. It is at this meeting that families will be more thoroughly informed of LW’s expectations of families, the school calendar, PEP classes, the curriculum list, and supplies needed to be purchased for classes.
It is the perfect blend of parents choosing to homeschool their children, while also desiring to do so in community alongside like-minded families and mentor teachers in a brick and mortar
Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 8:15AM-12PM. These classes consist of Math, Language Arts, History, Science & Bible. We meet at Restored Church which is located at 4747 Harrisburg Pike, Grove City, OH 43123.
The goal of a Homeschool Hybrid is to preserve the parents as the primary teacher. With that being said, at Learning Well, the Mentor Teachers and the Founders come alongside the parents to equip and empower them to fully step into their role by providing tips, tools and resources throughout the school year. Mentor Teachers lead class time by introducing topics, modeling teaching, and encouraging students.
Learning Well offers the core 4 subjects that include Math, Language Arts, Science and History. All are faith-based to introduce and maintain a Biblical worldview. Our model of education seeks to be Classical by choosing a curriculum that is focused on seeking truth, beauty and goodness.. We emphasize HOW to learn rather than WHAT to learn by modeling processes that are effective regardless of the topic. Teaching students classically provides the tools that will foster lifelong learning while empowering parents to step into each new challenge.
All curriculum is faith-based and has been prudently chosen to uphold our classical model. Families will be given a comprehensive curriculum list that clearly outlines what to buy as well as resources from which to purchase them (used or new). Families will be responsible to purchase what is needed and can rest assured the Mentor Teachers have the same curriculum to foster continuity. Therefore, not only do the Mentor Teachers have Teacher Manuals for each subject, the parents have their own copies as well. As Mentor Teachers introduce new concepts each week, parents will also follow along and reiterate the same concepts at home with their child(ren), review with them and test them throughout the year. Curriculum for the 2023-2024 school years includes:
Math: Saxon
Language Arts: All About Spelling, All About Reading, Well Ordered Language & IEW
History: The Complete Book of U.S. History
Science: Apologia: Astronomy
Bible: Bible Quest (Old Testament)
Learning Well was founded on the belief that God has called and equipped each and every parent to educate their children. Parents were hand-picked by God to have the children they have, which means they are more than capable of understanding their children more than anyone else and know exactly what their children are capable of. With that said, our Mentor Teachers have either had experience homeschooling their own children or have had experience in a classroom setting. Learning Well trains each Mentor Teacher on the classical Model, the Trivium, Classroom Management, and Supportive Techniques to mentor both students and parents prior to ever stepping into our classrooms.
First and foremost, when you choose to invest in your child’s education by partnering with Learning Well, you quickly gain an entire community for your homeschooling journey. You will never be alone to face the valleys and mountaintops you will navigate along the way. We provide you with a road map and not only point you in the right direction, we accompany you arm in arm. Mentor Teachers encourage and inspire students while fostering regular communication with parents to guide the day in and day out of academics. Learning Well forges a partnership with families that builds community, fosters communication, and equips families to teach and learn well. Furthermore, you receive eight 2 hour long parent equipping classes (that’s 16 hours), a Parent Teacher Handbook, and guidance every step of the way along your journey. Our Founders are committed to the development of the entire program and onsite to manage each community day
As a parent, your role is to be your child’s biggest fan! You maintain your role as authoritarian and parent and adopt your newly found role as Primary Teacher. That may sound somewhat nerve-wracking, but guess what? You already have what it takes! Learning Well will simply help parents unlock what hasn’t been tapped into yet. We will encourage you, bust any myths you might have about what it takes to homeschool, and give you all the tools and tips you need to curate a beautiful education journey with your child. So, come to the classroom with your child. Ask questions. Attend the 16+ hours of classes with parents of your child’s classmates and the founders to learn how you DO have what it takes.
